The C party did a circular walk through Gwydyr forest led by Hilary Turner.
The walk is mainly along forest tracks and across open areas where we should get some lovely views. The main climb is at the start of the walk, but it is worth it so we will take it at a steady pace. The lake, Llyn –y- parc, is pretty much the high point of the walk and from there we make our way westward through woodland and open countryside towards Swallow Falls. We then follow the north bank of the spectacular River Llugwy back into Betws –y-Coed, where there is plenty of choice of cafes for the necessary cup of tea.
