Higher Poynton and Lyme Park.

The mid-week walkers were out on 1st November when Jean and Steve Osborne led the walk to Higher Poynton, Sponds Hill and Lyme Park.

The walk takes us to Lyme Park steadily climbing up via Dale Top (384m) and Sponds Hill (410m) where there is a view indicator. Hopefully there will be clear views on the day across the Cheshire plain and beyond to the Shropshire Hills and in the opposite direction to Kinder Scout. We then go along the ridge to Bowstones and down to Lyme Park where there will be an opportunity to visit the National Trust cafe. We will return via Four Winds at the edge of Lyme Park.

Audrey Hibbert reports that they had a super day and has sent in a few images.
