Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge. Leader: Phil Spratt. 6.5 miles.
This is a low level walk with a few modest climbs through a very pleasant landscape of fields, woods and good paths. Quite a bit of the walk is on the Cumbria way. We pass two waterfalls and you will not find more beautiful views than looking across Elterwater to the distinctive outline of the Langdale Pikes. We have a few stiles non I remember are really bad. A nice pub on our return to Elterwater. Phil.

I decided to have an easy day and go with Phil on the “C” party walk. It is one of my favourite short walks and full of photographic possibilities. A nice pint of ‘Bluebird Bitter’ in the Britannia Inn at the end of the walk rounded off a good day.
Here are some of my images.
