Doreen Hunter and Audrey Hibbert have sent me some images and notes from the B party walks on the Malham weekend.
The B walk on Saturday was led by Margaret Bevan and the Sunday walk led by Keith Tattersall.
Newfield Hall was a lovely converted manor house, everything about it was superb. Lovely surroundings, big comfy lounges and the food was excellent.
On Saturday Margaret Bevan led a 7.5 mile B walk from the house, taking in several little villages in the area such as Calton and Airton which is where the pictures on the green and the house with the dovecote was taken. On Sunday Keith led a 8 mile walk from Malham, again another lovely walk and Keith pointed out the source of the River Aire. It doesn’t look much in the photo. Both walks were a little muddy to say the least but it didn’t rain.
