Cartmel ‘A’ Party walk

Aimee has sent me the following walk description and images from the ‘A’ party walk at Cartmel.

We started the walk with a steep incline towards the highest point, as we became closer to the top, the weather began to change!. The wind became very strong and the rain was bouncing off the floor, making us all stop to change into out waterproofs … but just when we were ready to start off again the rain had stopped! But we couldn’t help but smile, because overhead there was an amazing bright rainbow brightening up the day.

After that we made our way to an old hospice, inside there was a small fireplace and spread across the walls there was a beautiful poem, which we couldn’t help but read. We spent a couple of minutes here exploring the small hospice and climbing up the steep stairs to the top of the building to take pictures of the beautiful sights.

We then made our way through some open fields, climbing over dry walls and little rivers too. Despite the cold windy weather the day was fantastic and we are al looking forward to going for our next walk at the end of the week,

Aimee
