The Cleveland Way

Whitby Weekend.

Saturday October 30th

A/B Party.           Distance 10 miles.           Undulating.       Leader Margaret Bevan.

The coach will drop us off above Robin Hood’s bay. We will follow the disused railway track SW before descending to Boggle Hole. The rest of the walk is northward along the Cleveland Way. We follow the coast passing through Robin Hood’s Bay, Maw Wyke Hole, the lighthouse and Saltwick Bay. As we arrive at Whitby we pass the Abbey and descend down the 99 steps and over the swing bridge to the hotel. The views are spectacular along the coast with good visibility.

The other group did a slightly shorter version, starting from Robin Hood’s Bay and following the Cleveland way back to Whitby
